The Home Depot Foundation Donates Materials, Volunteer Effort to the Navy SEAL Museum
Fort Pierce, Fla. – May 29, 2025 – The Home Depot Foundation has generously donated nearly $14,000 for the purchase of materials for the National Navy SEAL Museum. These contributions have helped fund various essential projects, including the installation of mulch at both the Trident House and on Museum grounds, as well as the addition of new white rock to refresh existing areas and enhance landscaping throughout the property. The Home Depot Foundation has also made it possible to rebuild the fire pit and replace three picnic tables on the Museum grounds.
In addition to material donations, The Home Depot Foundation provided volunteers to assist on-site in these efforts to improve landscaping and help beautify critical components of the Museum’s property.
“The Museum is immensely grateful to The Home Depot Foundation for their generosity and hard work,” said Master Chief Ken Corona, USN (Retired), Executive Director of the Navy SEAL Museum. “This partnership will have a lasting impact—felt both by visitors on the Museum grounds and by the families finding respite at our Trident House. Their support is a lasting investment in both the Museum and the community we serve.”
Efforts surrounding the upkeep and enhancement of both the Museum grounds and Trident Houses are ongoing. Generous donations from partners like The Home Depot Foundation facilitate the Museum to continue its mission.
These enhancements will benefit not only Museum visitors and staff, but also the families of Special Operators and other military personnel who visit the Trident Houses for respite and retreat.
About The Home Depot Foundation
The Home Depot Foundation works to improve the homes and lives of U.S. veterans, train skilled tradespeople to fill the labor gap, and support communities impacted by natural disasters. Since 2011, the Foundation has invested more than $550 million in veteran causes and improved more than 65,000 veteran homes and facilities. It has pledged to invest $750 million in veteran causes by 2030 and $50 million in training the next generation of skilled tradespeople through the Path to Pro program.
About the Trident House
Established in 2012, the Trident House is a cornerstone of the Navy SEAL Museum’s commitment to supporting the Naval Special Warfare community. Located on the scenic Indian River in Fort Pierce, Florida, this tranquil respite home provides a place of healing, reflection, and restoration for Special Operations service members, veterans, and their families. It serves as a peaceful sanctuary for those grieving the loss of a loved one in the line of duty, recovering from service-related challenges, or simply seeking rest in a supportive environment.
In response to growing needs, the Museum expanded this vital program in 2023 with the addition of a second home on the Indian River, located near the original Trident House and Museum grounds. This new property allows the Museum to extend its outreach, accommodate more families, and further enrich the restorative experiences offered by the program.
Maintained by dedicated volunteers and sustained through generous donor contributions, both Trident House properties remain entirely free of charge to eligible families. Together, they embody the Museum’s enduring promise to care for those who have served and sacrificed.
