Navy SEAL Museum Named Beneficiary of Two-Night Fundraising Event in Chicago

Chicago, IL. – May 27, 2025 – The Navy SEAL Museum is honored to be named the beneficiary of a powerful two-evening fundraising event in Chicago this June to support the Museum’s mission of preserving the legacy of the Navy SEALs and their predecessors, also honoring their families. Hosted by a philanthropic group of local patriots, Two Evenings of Valor, Together for Trident House Charities, taking place June 20–21, brings the service and sacrifice of America’s elite warriors into sharp focus, with firsthand accounts from those who lived it.

“What began in 2018 as a singular fundraising event, originally branded Assault on the North Shore, has evolved into a dynamic two-day endeavor that is directly improving the lives of our veterans,” said Ted Neely, co-chair of the Chicago committee. “We wanted to address the desire of Chicago locals who are compelled to support the Museum and its efforts–and we feel we have done just that by providing a downtown venue, as well as one in the suburbs.”

The marquee event, Reliving Black Hawk Down, will be held Friday, June 20, at the prestigious University Club of Chicago. The evening features Master Chief (SEAL) Rick Kaiser, USN (Retired) and CEO of the National Navy SEAL Museum, as keynote speaker. Kaiser will share a gripping firsthand account of the 1993 Battle of Mogadishu—made widely known by the film Black Hawk Down and recently re-released documentary Surviving Black Hawk Down. Kaiser was awarded the Silver Star for Valor for his actions during this harrowing mission and will offer guests a deeply personal narrative.

Friday attendees will have the opportunity to engage in both an online and live auction supporting the Museum’s vital Trident House Charities Program, an initiative that elevates and serves the Naval Special Warfare community.

On Saturday, June 21, the event continues at the North Shore Country Club with an exclusive SEAL tactical demonstration on the grounds before the evening’s special tactical speaking panel highlighting the dramatic rescue operation of Captain Richard Phillips. Navy SEALs who executed this precarious mission will speak candidly about the preparation, precision, and pressure behind one of the most visible modern rescues. The evening will also include an online and live auction, with exclusive photo opportunities and the ability to connect with special operators. All proceeds will benefit the Museum’s Trident House Charities Program.

“The weekend will not only be about reflection—it is about connection, impact, and preserving a legacy,” said Kaiser. “It’s an honor to share SEAL history in support of our teammates and their families.”
