Navy SEAL Museum Ft. Pierce
The Trident House

The National Navy SEAL Museum’s Trident Houses are tranquil waterfront residences located on the beautiful Indian River in Florida. One of four charitable outreaches of the Museum’s Trident House Charities Program, the Trident Houses fall under the Museum’s 501(c)3 status. (Tax ID: 59-2569073)

These homes serve as critical and complimentary respites for the families of Special Operators, as well as to other military personnel with similar needs. If you, or someone you know, is interested in staying at the Trident House, please contact the Museum for eligibility and availability.

The fully equipped private, peaceful retreats are both on the water, allowing guests to enjoy all of the varied beauty Florida has to offer. This serene environment is a powerful de-stressor and is highly conducive to the process of reconnecting families and encouraging healing.
In November of 2012, the original Trident House hosted its first family with a very heavy heart. The family had very recently lost their son, who was a U.S. Navy SEAL. He was fighting in the Global War Against Terror in Afghanistan against the same extended group of extremists who took responsibility for 9/11–an event that forever changed the way we live our lives.

After a long day of travel, this first Trident House family arrived at the home (at that time, located in Sebastian, Florida). They immediately found solace in the private, peaceful setting. During their stay, this Gold Star Family attended the Museum’s annual Muster and received a personal tour of the Navy SEAL Museum and Memorial. The last event of their journey was attending the Sunrise Memorial Service for their son and other SEALs killed in training or combat the same year. The names of the Fallen are engraved into the black granite walls of the Navy SEAL Memorial on the Museum’s grounds each year.

After the emotional ceremony, the spirits of this family began to lift in the understanding that their community truly cares. They also found comfort in knowing that their son’s legacy and sacrifice will forever be honored at the Navy SEAL Museum and Memorial. In parting, the family members each commented about how wonderful their stay was at the Trident House, with plans to return to the Museum’s Memorial as often as possible.
With the support of generous donors, the second Trident House was added to the program in 2023. With your continued help, our goal of continuing to build and maintain additional houses will be realized as part of a long-term West Coast expansion plan.

The National Navy SEAL Museum, Memorial and Trident House are not federally funded. We rely on the generous contributions of our patriotic and grateful supporters like you to continue our mission of preserving Naval Special Warfare history, honoring our Fallen at the SEAL Memorial, and caring for those warriors and families through the Trident House Charities Program.

We are a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization. Your support is greatly needed, deeply appreciated, and makes a difference in the lives of many. To make a contribution, please visit our Support Page.

“Thank you for giving us the opportunity to enjoy some much needed downtime. If there is one thing that I have learned to appreciate is the meaning of the Brotherhood; truly a family…. we are all like brothers, and our families, like us, become bonded like brothers and sisters. We lean on each other for support, and we share the good and the not-so-good times together. We are not just members of the best Special Forces in the world; we are members of the best family. LLTB.”

“We love this Trident House. It is the perfect relaxing retreat. The location is great. The Museum gets better each time. I even caught my first snook off the dock. Thank you to everyone involved in making this possible for my family and all the others.”

“Thank you for the incredible honor of staying at the Trident House. We were in town to restore SOC-R to its original external qualities of a Combatant Craft for the first time in 11 years. We were honored to do so. This home has a sense of peace and serenity, and I am grateful to those who have given and maintained this place of respite. Long Live the Brotherhood. On Time, On Target, Never Quit. God Bless America.”

“This trip was a great opportunity to reconnect with my parents, brothers, and wife while we restored my SOCR (11) to some of its glory while I served onboard her during my second Iraq deployment. The team from USMI and the Museum staff were amazing. We couldn’t have done the restoration on SOC-R11 without their tremendous support. Thank you for opening the Trident House to us and thank you for the time to reconnect with my loved ones.”

“The Trident House has been an exceptional opportunity to connect with friends and teammates, while making new friends and restoring SWCC war boat history, overall preserving NSW history. Very cool setup with a perfect balance of work and play. It was awesome to get some water therapy while giving back to the NSW community. Much Mahalo. Aloha with heavy respect.”

“I am thankful for everything the Museum, Baden K-9, and the Navy SEAL community has done for myself and my family! We had a wonderful time at the Trident House.”
