Navy SEAL Capabilities
As Naval Special Warfare’s primary special operations force, SEALs perform a variety of strategic, difficult, dangerous and clandestine missions, including:
- Direct action against enemies using raids, ambushes and assaults to capture and kill adversaries.
- Covert intelligence gathering and reconnaissance operations to conduct surveillance on enemy activity or provide improved understanding of potential areas of operation. Activities including tracking and monitoring enemy activity and gathering information about condition and terrain.
- Eliminating threats and conducting counter-terrorism strikes and pre-emptive strikes.
- Training allies and foreign forces to increase their ability to respond to threats.
When the SEALs arrive, whether by sea, air or land, they pack a punch.
